I was going to comment more deeply in this thread, but I've decided to just say that I think Caldari and Achurans can be good looking and will leave it at that.

Well, if anything, there was a portrait contest not that long ago, and CCP Affinity was the judge. Once can argue about her tastes, ofc, but you will find that she picked Brit Green as the prettiest avatar (right here), and Brit happens to be Caldari.

Mr. Embrace, I have no intention to 'tame' her. In fact, I think such a term is rather offensive to the woman in question (or any woman, for that matter). Besides, the only thing I want to get out of that sparring is a bit of acceptance. Not love, not even respect per se. All I want is to be accepted as someone who has a right to voice his opinion without being immediately viewed as some aberration. One thing I certainly do not want is to force my company on someone who, quite obviously, doesn't like me.

I tried resisting the urge to comment in this thread considering just how easy it would be to dog on the squid a bit, but I gotta say that by and large I find the vast majority of Caldari, especially Civire, to be as gray as their ships. Would it really hurt you people to add a little color to those hulls?

I wouldn't be paying too much attention to that if I were you. You will probably meet quite a few people who won't like you just because you are Caldari.

The real issue is, it will take some time before they start to see YOU rather than another Caldari (or Gallente, Minmatar, Amarr, for that matter), but such is life. Truth is, stereotypes help 'classify' people when you don't know much about them, but become useless if you get to know them better.

As for your visual style - I can speak only for myself. Those numerous piercings spoil the picture, I think. They may fit a rebellous youth from Gallente suburbs, or some Minmatar (for whom such decorations together with tattoos can be part of their culture, and do not induce this 'immature' image). Try to achieve that 'no nonsense' Caldari businessman look, and you'll be more than fine.

I wouldn't want to embarrass Miss Romanova-sani by asking the public if she has as much beauty as this Caldari.
